Seinäjoki is a city located in the region of South Ostrobothnia in western Finland. It is known as an important administrative, cultural, and educational centre for the region.
The city is perhaps most renowned for its unique architecture, especially the buildings designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, which include the city hall, library, and church. Seinäjoki also hosts numerous events and festivals, like the annual Tangomarkkinat, the largest tango festival in the world. With a dynamic atmosphere and a growing population, Seinäjoki has established itself as a vital hub in the Finnish landscape.

Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna
I have tried almost all hotels in Seinäjoki and the Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is my favourite. In my opinion, it beats all the others in terms of quality, price and services.

This hotel has an excellent location, it’s downtown, very easy to find and it has its own underground safe parking (8€ per 24 hrs) with several places to recharge electric cars.
Despite being safe, in winter your car will stay warm which is very convenient.
There are small shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants and bars around the hotels within walking distance.
The staff has all the time been very nice and helpful.
Last time, I had a Superior Room I had a standard room that I already reviewed here but now I booked a Standard Twin Room which was as good as the Superior, very quiet, just a bit smaller.
Inside the room, there was an iron + ironing table, a safe box, a kettle with free tea and coffee facilities, a TV, a desk and a small sofa.
I regret they have removed the minibar, they could have left the fridge empty, and it could have been practical to store fresh drinks in summer.
The shower and toilet were inside the bathroom which was big enough with a nice ambient LED lighting activated by a motion sensor, practical by night. There were also tissues, a hairdryer, towels, soap, shampoo and body lotion dispensers.
On the second floor, there is a free sauna and a small gym with enough equipment to train.
The breakfast buffet was very good, there is everything you need to fill your stomach.
I really recommend this hotel, especially if you go by car and want a safe and warm place to park in winter.
