There are a few hotels in Seinäjoki but my favourite is the Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna.
It’s located downtown, very easy to access and it’s surrounded by small shopping malls, shops, restaurants and pubs.
They have underground parking which is safe and warm, perfect in winter. It costs 8€ per day.

The check-in was fast and the receptionists were very nice and helpful.
I booked a Superior Room. It looks like all their rooms have been renovated. Mine was very nice, spacious, clean with modern-looking, LEDs everywhere, under the bed as well as in the bathroom.
Inside the room, there were a desk, free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV, a sofa, an iron, a safe, a minibar and a kettle with tea and coffee facilities.
My room was on the street side but it was well insulated, I didn’t listen to any noise and it was very calm.
The bathroom was as modern as the bedroom. There were a shower, a toilet, a hairdryer, shampoo and face lotion.
A motion sensor was switching on the bottom lights, perfect when you wake up by night or in the morning when your eyes are not completely opened.
There are a gym and a sauna inside the hotel but I didn’t have time to go to see them.
The restaurant and bar are in from the reception and it’s where the breakfast was served.
This is one of the best breakfast I ever had in a Finnish hotel. There were several buffets, lots of fresh and local products, you can do your own orange juice, lots of everything, it was perfect!
Just look at the video below and you will understand.
This is a hotel where I will go again, everything was perfect from the room, the services to the breakfast.
If the Superior Room is a bit too expensive for you, look at the Standard Room. I’ve also stayed and reviewed this cheaper room which was also very nice, just a bit smaller. Full review here!
